If you’re an Aurora KiwiSaver Scheme member, here’s what’s changing, what’s staying the same, and what to expect when Hive goes live.

Why we’re introducing Hive

We know KiwiSaver can sometimes feel hard to keep track of — especially when life’s busy and you’ve got a lot on your mind.

That’s why we created Hive — a new platform that brings your KiwiSaver account, goals and advice together, so you can stay on track with more clarity and confidence.

With Hive, you’ll be able to:

See how your KiwiSaver account is tracking at a glance

Understand how it supports your goals

Stay connected to expert advice when you need it

What you’ll notice when Hive launches

When Hive goes live, you’ll notice a fresh, modern look across the website and portal — designed to be simple, intuitive, and easy to use.

In the Hive portal, you’ll be able to:

View and manage your KiwiSaver account

Set a goal and see how you’re tracking over time

Use tools and calculators to explore different options

Stay connected to expert advice and support

Soon to be available on IOS and Android

Soon after launch, you’ll be able to download the Hive app on iOS and Android, giving you access wherever it suits you. We’ll let you know as soon as it’s ready.

This change is about improving how you see and manage your KiwiSaver account — not changing how it works behind the scenes.

What happens when Hive goes live

The Hive portal will be available to use, with a new app on iOS and Android coming soon after

You’ll be able to log in using the same details you already use for the Aurora Capital portal

Your KiwiSaver account will appear automatically — there’s nothing you need to set up

Using a password manager? Enter your details manually the first time — you can save them again once you're logged in

There’s nothing you need to do right now

You don’t need to make any changes before launch — everything will carry over automatically.

We’ll let you know as soon as Hive is live and guide you through what’s new.

What is happening to my Aurora KiwiSaver Scheme account?

The name of your KiwiSaver scheme will change from Aurora KiwiSaver Scheme to Hive KiwiSaver Scheme.
Your money will stay invested in the same Aurora fund or strategy it is today — there’s no change to how it’s managed or what it costs.
Will I still have access to advice?

Yes. The advice and support you receive will continue as they do today. You can contact your Adviser or the Client Care Team.

Do I need to do anything before Hive launches?

No. There’s nothing you need to do right now.
How will I access Hive?

At launch, you’ll be able to access Hive through the desktop portal, which gives you a full view on your computer, similar to the Aurora Capital portal. A new mobile app is also on its way soon after launch, so you’ll be able to check in and stay connected on the go too. We’ll let you know as soon as the app is available.
How will I log in to Hive?
You’ll use the same login details you already use for the Aurora Capital portal.
When Hive goes live:
- Your KiwiSaver account will appear automatically
- There’s nothing you need to set up
If you usually use a password manager, your login details may not appear automatically the first time you visit Hive. Simply enter your details manually — you’ll be able to save them again once you’ve logged in.
If you haven’t logged in to the Aurora Capital portal before, or can’t remember your details, simply select “Can’t log in to your account” on the login page and follow the steps.
What happens if I go to the Aurora Capital portal after Hive launches?

If you visit the Aurora Capital portal, you’ll be automatically redirected to Hive — there’s no need to find a new link.
You can log in using your usual details.
Will my fees change?

No — if you stay in your current Aurora fund or strategy, your fees won’t change as a result of the transition.
Hive KiwiSaver Scheme gives you access to a wider range of investment options, and fees can vary between funds. If you choose to explore these, your Adviser can help you understand any differences before you make a decision.
What else will be new with Hive?

Hive KiwiSaver Scheme is designed to give you more visibility and choice.
You’ll be able to explore a wider range of fund managers and investment options, with expert advice available to guide you whenever you need it.

Note: You cannot currently invest in the new funds and no money is being sought for investment in the new funds. Upon Hive launching, the new funds will be made available for investment in accordance with the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013.
