Sharon Mackay is an accomplished financial services executive with over 20 years of experience in leadership roles across some of New Zealand’s largest banks and financial institutions. Before joining Aurora Capital as Chief Executive Officer, she held senior roles at Fisher Funds and BNZ, where she led distribution, strategy, product development, and communications initiatives.

With a deep understanding of financial advisory and an unwavering commitment to client-focused strategies, Sharon is dedicated to leading Aurora Capital through its next phase of growth. Passionate about innovation, operational excellence, and empowering advisers, she thrives on delivering impactful change that enhances both client outcomes and shareholder value.

Sean Henaghan co-founded Aurora Capital in 2021.  Sean has more than 30 years of investment experience and industry leadership in asset consulting and funds management, in roles spanning markets in Hong Kong and Asia Pacific, London, Australia and New Zealand.

Sean previously led a substantial investment business which managed over AU$100b across multi-asset strategies and appointed over 100 investment managers across all asset classes. As an asset consultant, Sean provided strategic consulting advice to some of the world's largest pension funds.

Sean believes that when we invest to make the world a better place, we can create a better future for people and the planet.

Marcus Wild is a highly experienced marketing executive with over 17 years of expertise in brand development, sales strategy, and customer engagement for some of New Zealand’s most well-known financial brands. Prior to joining Aurora Capital, he was Chief Marketing Officer at Fisher Funds and Head of Marketing at Yellow New Zealand, where he played a pivotal role in driving customer-centric strategies.

As Chief Client Officer, Marcus leads Aurora Capital’s mission to provide unparalleled client service and high-quality financial advice. With a strong focus on leveraging data-driven insights and omni-channel communication, he is dedicated to ensuring that every Aurora Capital client has the confidence and support needed to achieve their financial future.

George is the Operations Lead at Aurora Capital. George started his career in financial services in 2015 at Aurora Financial, Aurora Capital's sister company as a financial adviser, moving through various Marketing, Operations and Compliance roles. 

George brings a wealth of knowledge to Aurora Capital and like the rest of the Aurora team, George shares the belief that KiwiSaver investments can be used as a force for good. 

Thomas is a an Investment Analyst at Aurora Capital, where he assists with all aspects of Aurora Capital asset management.

Prior to starting his professional career with Aurora Financial, Thomas studied at the University of Canterbury, earning a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), before pursuing a Master of Financial Management. 

Having worked for a number of years as a Financial Adviser for Aurora Financial and Aurora Capital, he brings experience in dealing with what our clients' needs and goals are. This serves as a feedback loop, ensuring that investment decisions are made with our clients' needs in mind.

Richard comes from the automotive industry and has over 15 years’ experience in creating fit-for-purpose solutions for his clients’ needs. He wants to use that experience to help New Zealanders navigate KiwiSaver to make better moves for their own personal futures. Richard believes in forming long-term relationships with clients by providing ongoing support, and easy to access and understand KiwiSaver financial advice.
